About Banking BD

Banking BD is an independent guide for people in Bangladesh and Bangladeshis abroad. We gather bank information in one place and explain it simply. We are not a bank and do not hold money.

Data sources

• Routing numbers, branches and districts: the bd-bank-routing open dataset (CC0), read from each bank’s pages with a checked date.
• SWIFT codes and branch addresses/phones: public directories and a 2021 collection, cross-checked against other sources where possible.
• Divisions and districts: the 64 districts grouped under the 8 divisions; head-office addresses from banks’ own pages and public directories.
• Exchange rates: the table published by Bangladesh Bank (via AllRatesToday).
• Bank renames and mergers: news reports and banks’ own pages (sourced on the relevant pages).
